Cable Railing with Powder-Coated Aluminum Posts & Continuous Top Rails
The ORION II System features a powder-coated aluminum framework combined with horizontal stainless steel cable infill. The framework is made up of 3” x 3” posts, standard bottom rail and a flat, continuous top rail. The cable infill consists of HandiSwage™ fittings and 1/8” cable. The straight and stair rail kits are available in 6’ lengths and include a top rail, bottom rail, pre-drilled stabilizer, support block assembly and connectors. Post kits come pre-drilled for 3” cable spacing in heights of 36” or 42”.
ORION II Specifications
The simple design of the ORION II top rail allows installers to handle a variety of rail transitions using a small set of adaptive rail fittings and common installation tools. The ORION II System is offered in a matte textured powder-coat finish of black, bronze and white. TOOLS
HandiSwage™ Combination Wrench Set
The HandiSwage™ Combination Wrench Set includes 2, 3/8” and 7/16” combination wrenches and is used to aid in the installation of HandiSwage™ and Deluxe Cover Nut Sets.
Cable Grip Pad
Use a Cable Grip Pad with vice grips when tensioning the cable runs. This prevents damage during installation.
HandiSwage™ Hand Swager
The HandiSwage™ Hand Swager features rubber handles for optimal gripping and swages fittings onto 1/8″, 5/32″ and 3/16″ cable.
ACCESSORIES
ORION Splice Post Cap
The ORION Splice Post Cap is commonly used on mid posts to join top rails on level sections. It features female connections to allow for ORION top rails to be cut to length and concealed within the fitting.
ORION 90 Degree Elbow Post Cap
The ORION 90 Degree Elbow Post Cap is utilized where rail sections meet at a 90 degree angle. It features female connections. The ORION Top Rails can be cut to length and concealed inside for a clean look.
